# Release status

ContextDaddy is distributed directly for Mac, not through TestFlight.

## Current access

The public beta is a signed and notarized build for Apple silicon Macs on macOS 14 or later, free during early access. It is read-only and never edits agent configuration.

## What to test

Skill discovery and policy, project context inventory, local usage history, opt-in provider allowance and verified OpenTelemetry signals.

## Not included

Intel builds, automatic updates, live prompt inspection, agent configuration editing and cloud telemetry.

## Product boundaries

- Requires macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon; no Intel build
- Read-only; never edits agent configuration or files
- Context-size estimates are approximate, not live prompt measurements
- Discovered context is not proof it entered a prompt
- No automatic updater; new builds are manual downloads
- Provider allowance requires installed CLIs and is opt-in
